Laura Pigott

Her graphic design elements tend to be bold and illustrative with an emphasis on hand lettered type. Hand lettering is a staple for her designs. In her oil painting she mostly works in exaggerated portraiture with a special interest in female portraiture and its place in history. Her work in both mediums often tackle political issues such as sexism and homophobia while also making works to celebrate femininity, gender, and sexuality.

She is currently attending the University of Alabama at Birmingham as a BFA candidate where she is in her Senior year and preparing for her BFA thesis show in the upcoming spring.
